AML adheres to the credo of increasing the green cover of the mother earth. Plantation drives are being carried out by the Company each year with an aim to improve the flora & fauna of the region and to contribute back to the ecology of the area. The Company has developed its own nursery where saplings of native plants of general and medicinal values are propagated and grown to usable size. Various old dump yards of the Company have been reclaimed and have been converted into green hills due to the extensive afforestation drives carried out from time to time. The sustainable mining practices followed by the Company are reflected in our commitment towards increasing the ecological balance in the area. Some of our initiatives in this direction include bee farming, installation of artificial nests for native birds, setting up of vermin-compost beds and development of artificial ponds.
